Get Certified

The process to become a certified Level II or III has been a controversial debate. Some believe that years of experience is required prior to certification as to become experienced in performing exposures and reviewing all different forms of welds, castings and forgings. However, in some cases, it is not true. A lack of variance leads to a deficiency in experience. A Level II technician may only be exposed to certain radiography jobs, and thus will not learn the complete range of the profession. It is best served to become certified earlier in a technician’s career without waiting for years to pass. Experience will come throughout the years and one will continue to learn. It is recommended to refresh and continue reading materials related to the radiography profession to stay on top of the mathematical, physics and theoretical aspects of the radiography methodology to help support the practical hands-on facets of the job.
